Yala Agro Industry Milk Processing Factory recently organized an awareness forum in Bonke Wereda with the theme "One Farmer, One Liter for Lemat's Legacy." The event aimed to educate farmers on improving dairy production and maximizing the region’s potential in milk processing.

The forum was officially opened by Brega Ganchre, Chief Administrator of Bonke Wereda, who emphasized the need for enhancing Dalga cattle breeds and improving cattle nutrition to increase milk production and productivity in the region. He highlighted the importance of sustainable dairy farming and ensuring farmers receive the necessary support to expand their businesses.

Mr. Ephraim Israel, Manager of Yala Agro Industry Milk Processing Factory, noted that a favorable economic environment has been created for Bonke-area farmers, enabling them to benefit from financial resources and expand their dairy farming operations. He encouraged farmers to leverage these opportunities to boost milk production and contribute to the local economy.

Ato Alemayehu Israel, deputy manager at Yala Agro Industry, reiterated the high quality of milk produced in Bonke due to the large population of Dalga cattle in the region. He urged the local community to take full advantage of this untapped potential and enhance their dairy farming practices.

The forum brought together Wereda officials, Kebele administrators, agricultural representatives, model farmers, and other stakeholders, fostering discussions on strategies to strengthen dairy farming and increase productivity. The initiative marks a significant step in Yala Agro Industry’s ongoing commitment to supporting local farmers and enhancing Ethiopia’s dairy sector.
