This left many farmers in budge loss, creating a huge mismatch between income and expense, rendering them a prey for usury. To mitigate the situation, Yala provide money at high expense time against future fruits income.
In the same vein, Yala also is facilitating provision of feed (concentrate and hay), AI, medicine, etc to farmers, maintaining quality, against their stream of income – no upfront payment.It is implement it through Milk Collection Centers (MCCs) and currently reaching over 500 farmers, of which 30% are women and youth. Now, it is soliciting fund to upscale it model to reach 2,500 households in the mid-term.
